47 dead in Eastern Syria following air strikes
At least 47 people, including nine children, are reported to have died in air strikes in Eastern Syria.
Human rights group, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights believes that Russian jets carried out the raids near the city of Deir al-Zor.
Meanwhile, activists have said there is growing resistance to the rule of Islamic State in the group's makeshift capital of Raqqa.
They claim most of the civilian population is refusing to join the group.
Abdalaziz Alhamza is a founder of a group called "Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently"
“So I know they are trying to interrogate one of our members, they started by killing his father, then his brother in law, then another brother and all of us decided we would not stop until they kill all of us or when we will be back home.”
