A bomb has gone off outside a government office in the north-western city of Mardan, killing at least 12 people and wounding 35, Pakistani police said.

A bomb has gone off outside a government office in the north-western city of Mardan, killing at least 12 people and wounding 35, Pakistani police said.

The attack took place outside the regional office of the National Database and Registration Authority, which issues identity cards to Pakistanis, said senior police officer Saeed Khan Wazir.
