Around 500 people have taken part in a protest in Myanmar after two men from the country were convicted of killing two British backpackers on a beach in Thailand.

Monks were among those gathered outside the Thai embassy in the city of Yangon.

Two Burmese migrants were sentenced to death yesterday for the murders of David Miller and Hannah Witheridge last year.
