Taliban forces attack Kandahar airport

The Taliban has launched an attack at the airport in the city of Kandahar, Afghan officials said.

Samim Khopalwaq, spokesman for the Kandahar provincial governor, said the attack started with the Taliban targeting the facility’s main gate.
