Corbyn calls for calm following air strike vote

Britains' Labour party leader and his deputy have appealed for calm after a rift was caused by some party members siding with the government in last night's vote on air strikes in Syria.

66 Labour MPs backed plans for RAF jets to join the coalition mission against Islamic State.

Some of them have been abused on social media, and even threatened with de-selection from the party.

Sky's politics reporter Darren McCaffrey's been looking at a letter written by Jeremy Corbyn and Tom Watson.

"They say that politics must be conducted in a better way, more civil and more respectful. They go on to say that abuse and intimidation have no place in politics and the party as a whole will not accept such behaviour."
