Colorado police respond to shooting reports near health clinic

Police in Colorado are responding to reports of a shooting near a health clinic.

Ambulances and police vehicles are lined up near the Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, and police have told people via Twitter to stay away from the “active shooter scene” because it is not secure.

Police spokeswoman Catherine Buckley said the situation “has not been stabilised”, but gave no further details.

Planned Parenthood is a women’s health clinic that provides abortions at some locations.
