The world of jewels and precious stones is more excited than a child when Harry Potter was first released after the largest diamond in a century was found in Botswana.

The 1,111 carat diamond was found by mining company Lucara and is the second largest diamond ever found.

The first being the one used to make the British Crown Jewels.

The sparkler is the size of a tennis ball, although somewhat more glamourous.

There are a lot of people very excited about the supersized diamond including CEO of the Lucara company who said the find cannot be overstated.

The value of the diamond can not even be estimated, such is the value of the high-quality gem, but in contrast a 341.9 carat diamond sold for $20.6m in July.
