Seven arrested as raid ends

Seven people have been arrested in a raid on an apartment building where suspects in last week’s Paris attacks were holed up, officials said.

The seven were arrested in the building in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis, a senior police official and the Paris prosecutor’s office said.

A loud bang rang out in the streets adjacent to the building at around the time of the latest arrests.

They did not identify those detained.

It is reported the raid is now over and the apartment is empty.

The area is being secured by French officials.

Following the raid, the police have raided a church in the nearby area.
