German police search for woman believed to be mother of seven babies found dead
Police in Germany are attempting to trace a woman believed to be the mother of seven babies found dead in a flat, in the south of the country.
An investigation was launched after the babies remains were found the Bavarian town of Wallenfels yesterday.
Their bodies had been covered in blankets and packed in plastic bags in a flat.
It is not clear how they died, or how long they had been in the apartment.
The bodies are being examined by forensic experts, but the examinations "will take some time in view of their poor condition, in some cases."
