VIDEO: Woman arrested after ‘twerking attack’ on man in Washington; second woman wanted by police
A woman has been arrested and a second woman is being sought by police after a man was allegedly groped and subjected to what’s being described in the media as a “twerking attack” in the US.
Police in Washington DC released a video of the incident on Monday and yesterday charged a woman with third-degree sexual abuse. They are still searching for a second woman in connection with the incident.
The victim, who wishes to remain anonymous, told FOX 5 that he had gone into the shop to pay for petrol and was immediately approached by the women.
One of the women can be seen on the video to twerk on the man, which he says was without his consent, and the second then proceeds to apparently grope the man repeatedly.
As the incident - which happened on October 7 - took place he asked the clerk behind the counter to help him but the clerk’s response was: “What do you want me to do?”
The man also told the station he had seen a group of men outside the store who he feared might be pimps and that is why he refused to fight back against the alleged assault.
After the incident in the store the man tried to step outside to call 911, but he said the harassment from the women continued there and he claims the police have the footage from outside as well. That clip has not been released by the police however.
The footage, which was taken down by the Metropolitan Police yesterday following the arrest of the first woman, has been widely circulated online and they have confirmed there is a $1,000 reward for information on the incident.
