Four arrests in murder probe after man found dead in Dorset

Four people have been arrested following the discovery of a man’s body in a town centre flat.
Officers detained three men and one woman on suspicion of murder after finding the body in a flat along Bath Street in Weymouth, Dorset, at 8am.
The circumstances of his death are suspicious and an investigation, led by Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team, is under way.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said the victim had not been identified but the coroner has been notified.
Two men and one woman also suffered injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening, and received treatment.
Detective Inspector Neil Devoto, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “Following the discovery of a man’s body and a number of injured people, Dorset Police has launched a murder investigation.
“Enquiries are now under way to establish exactly what happened earlier this morning.
“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the Bath Street area this morning to contact us as soon as possible.
“All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”
A cordon has been put in place while crime scene investigators examine the property and officers are also carrying out house-to-house enquiries.
