Subway lose court case over sandwich size

Subway has agreed to start measuring its six- and 12-inch sandwiches in order to settle a class-action lawsuit.

The moves will be taken after hundreds of customers joined a legal action to complain that their footlong subs were not actually 12 inches long.

The legal case began when an Australian teenager posted a photo of one "footlong" sandwich - alongside a ruler that showed it was only actually 11 inches.

Subway has now agreed to make sure sandwiches are the correct length

The company will also pay 1,000 dollars in compensation to the people who took the case.
