At least 40 Islamic State fighters killed in Syria

It is reported that at least 40 Islamic State fighters have been killed in an airstrike in Syria's Hama Province.

A UK-based monitoring group claim 16 vehicles were destroyed in an attack on their convoy which happened yesterday.

Earlier the UK's defence secretary suggested Britain should be prepared to extend its airstrikes against Islamic State into Syria.

Michael Fallon his office is committed to holding a fresh Commons vote on the issue.
