In the UK, three people have been charged with assisting an offender in relation to the death of PC Dave Phillips on Merseyside last week.

The two 19-year-olds and a woman who is 34 are due before magistrates later this morning.

PC Phillips was knocked over and killed by a pick-up truck in Wallasey in Liverpool on October 5.

PC Dave Philips, who was just 34-years-old, was hit by the truck while trying to use a stinger device on the vehicle which had been taken in a burglary last week.

He died in hospital shortly after the incident.

An 18-year-old man Clayton Williams has been charged with his murder.
