Teenager accepts his driving caused policeman Dave Phillips' death, solicitor says

Teenager Clayton Williams has accepted his driving caused the death of Pc Dave Phillips and has “extended his apologies” to the father-of-two’s family, a statement from his solicitor said.

But the 18-year-old, who is charged with murder, maintains he did not intend to harm the officer while behind the wheel of a pick-up truck taken during a burglary and being pursued by police.
