Baby dies after falling from New York apartment building

A newborn girl with her umbilical cord still attached has plunged from the window of a New York City apartment building.

Police are questioning the girl’s mother after responding to an emergency services caller who reported that an infant had fallen out of a window at the seven-floor building in the Bronx.
