Romanian Prime Minister Victor Ponta to stand trial on corruption charges

Romania’s prime minister has been charged with corruption and will stand trial.

Victor Ponta was formally indicted on Thursday, according to a spokeswoman for the anti-corruption prosecutors’ office.
