Six killed, including pregnant woman, as car loses control in Spanish rally

Six people have been killed and two others were seriously injured after a race car lost control during a rally in north-western Spain and crashed into onlookers.
Eleven other people are receiving treatment after Saturday’s accident at the Coruna Rally in Carral, in the north-western region of Galicia.
Police said four of the dead were female, including a pregnant woman and a 13-year-old girl.
It is being reported that the pregnant woman was Ana Cayazzo who died instantly along with her partner Miguel Caridad, when they were struck by the car.
A woman and a young girl were also badly injured and are in hospital.
Spanish prime minister Mariano Rajoy tweeted his condolences and said the Coruna Rally had been left in mourning.
He wished those injured “a speedy and complete recovery”.
Police are investigating the causes of the accident.
