Pensioner dies after being hit by lorry in London

Police have launched an appeal after a 76-year-old woman died after being hit by a lorry.
The pensioner was pronounced dead at the scene after the incident on Peckham High Street, south-east London, at 2.04pm.
Her next-of-kin have been informed but officers are awaiting formal identification, and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

The driver of the lorry, who stopped at the scene, was not arrested.
