Jackass star Steve-O charged over protest
Jackass star Steve-O will face five criminal charges after he climbed a crane in Hollywood to protest SeaWorld.
The incident drew dozens of emergency responders to a construction site earlier this month.
The city of Los Angeles will also seek financial restitution for the cost of the police and fire response, according to reports.
Steve-O, whose legal name is Stephen Glover, faces charges including creating a false emergency and trespassing.
Frank Mateljan, spokesman for the City Attorneyâs Office, said the charges stem from the August 9 incident and a subsequent search of Gloverâs house.
The 41-year-old, known for his outlandish stunts, scrambled up a crane along Sunset Boulevard and inflated a killer whale balloon emblazoned with âSeaWorld Sucksâ.
