VIDEO: Police officer being investigated for handcuffing naked woman in her home
A police officer in the US is being investigated after a video has emerged of him arresting a naked woman in her home.
The Arizona woman was arrested after the officer "illegally" entered her home and placed her in handcuffs while she was naked.
The Chandler Police Department is investigating the former police officer, Doug Rose, whom Esmeralda Rossi said had entered her home and cuffed her without explanation.
Ms Rossi, the woman who was arrested in the footage, told ABC15 Arizona: “I felt helpless, I felt violated, and honestly, I felt molested.”
"I was in the shower. My daughter came to the shower and said there are two officers at the door. So I just grabbed a towel."
The officers were responding to a domestic disturbance call about an alleged argument between Ms Rossi and her ex husband, when the officer became aggressive.
She subsequently grabbed her mobile and her daughter began filming the incident.
Ms Rossi said: "It made me very uncomfortable. So I closed the door. I turn to go into my living room and I probably get about five steps in — and all of a sudden, I just hear boots running in after me, telling me 'stop or I’ll arrest you.'"
Mr Rose then handcuffed and arrested her while she was struggling to keep her bath towel on.
He has not been charged and has retired while the investigation was ongoing.
Ms Rossi was never charged with a crime and said she would be pursuing a lawsuit against the city.
