In-car wine drink-driver handed ban

A woman who crashed her car after drinking half a bottle of wine which she had decanted into a coffee cup during her 160-mile journey has been banned from getting behind the wheel for two years.

Ruth Brown, 55, had drunk a bottle of wine at lunch before she set off on her journey in Exeter, Devon, heading for Dunsfold, Surrey, on June 24.
