Greece unable to make €1.6bn IMF payments

Greece says it cannot make a repayment to the International Monetary Fund, which is due on June 5, as it does not have the money.

The four instalments due to be paid to the IMF in June total €1.6bn.

Greece has to come to a deal with the IMF and EU, to secure the final tranche of its bailout from the institutions.
