Former US General David Petraeus to be sentenced for sharing military secrets during affair

Former CIA director David Petraeus is being sentenced in a US federal court for sharing military secrets with his biographer, with whom he was having an affair.

Today’s hearing in Charlotte, North Carolina, comes two months after Petraeus agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanour count of unauthorised removal and retention of classified material.
