Two women have been arrested in New York City, accused of planning to build a bomb to attack the United States.

Two women have been arrested in New York City, accused of planning to build a bomb to attack the US.

Counter-terror officers believe that the women, aged 28 and 31, devised a plot to target police, government or military targets based on what is described as their "violent jihadist beliefs".
