Islamic militants take over Somali hotel

Islamic militants have blasted their way into a Somali hotel and taken positions inside, exchanging fire with security forces seeking to regain control of the building, a police official said.

At least four al-Shabab gunmen had trapped an unknown number of people inside the building in the capital Mogadishu, Captain Mohamed Hussein said.
