Al-Qaida takes over a city in Yemen

Yemeni security officials say al Qaida’s branch in the country has taken control of a southern city after security forces surrendered.

The officials said al Qaida militants driving pick-up trucks and flying black flags swept through the city of al-Houta, the capital of Lahj province.
