The RCMP said the pair were shot within the city of St Albert in Alberta early this morning.

No details were immediately available about the extent of their injuries.

Inspector Gibson Glavin said police are searching for the gunman near the Sturgeon Valley Golf Club in St Albert.

He described the suspect as a white male, aged 25 to 35, and warned that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
