Crayola goes blue as Facebook page is hacked

Crayola has apologised after hackers filled its Facebook page with off-colour content.
The crayon and marker manufacturer, based in Forks Township, Pennsylvania, regained control of the page late yesterday and removed the offending posts.
Instead of burnt sienna and cerulean blue, the pageās 2.4 million followers saw cartoon breasts and sophomoric sex jokes.
Crayola tweeted early yesterday evening that it was aware of the hack and āmaking every effort to stop the unauthorised postsā. A few hours later, it had restored the page to its usual family friendliness.
āOur sincere apologies to our Facebook community for the inappropriate and offensive posts you may have seen here,ā the post said.
Crayola is a subsidiary of Missouri-based Hallmark Cards.
