Fog-bound airline passengers stranded on tarmac for 12 hours with no food

Hundreds of angry passengers have said they endured a 28-hour overseas flight which included 12 hours on a tarmac in the Middle East without food or proper information.

Tempers grew short on Etihad Airways Flight 183 when fog in the city of Abu Dhabi delayed take-off for half a day, passengers who landed in San Francisco early today told broadcaster KGO.
