The British Government has put an export bar on a 19th century sideboard valued at almost half a million pounds in a bid to stop it leaving the country.

The UK's Culture Minister Ed Vaizey stepped in to try and save the piece of furniture which was designed by Bruce James Talbert in 1866 and is made from oak inlaid with ebony.
