NFL star accused of child abuse

American football player Adrian Peterson has been indicted in Texas on a charge of child abuse after using a branch to discipline his son.

Peterson’s lawyer, Rusty Hardin, said that the charge in Montgomery County accuses the Minnesota Vikings running back of using a branch, or switch, to smack one of his sons, whose age was not disclosed.
