Mother 'fanatical' about education made children study into the night

Two children whose mother had a “fanatical” interest in their education were taken into local authority foster care after being abused, judges have been told.

The youngsters – neither of whom had reached their teens – worked on internet education programmes from the time they got home from school until late in the evening, a court heard.
