Four minor explosions have struck subway stations in the Egyptian capital Cairo, leaving two people injured and causing widespread panic among commuters.

The blasts, which were caused by home-made explosive devices, took place at four different stations in central and northern Cairo, in the Ghamra and Shubra el-Khemia areas.
