Sudan will release woman on death row for apostasy

A court in Sudan has ordered the release of woman on death row for apostasy, the country’s official news agency said.

Suna reported that the Court of Cassation in the capital Khartoum has cancelled the death sentence against 27-year-old Meriam Ibrahim after defence lawyers presented their case. The court then ordered her release.
