A woman has appeared in court in connection with 24 abuse offences against children, including rape and sexual assault.

Marie Black, 33, from Atkinson Close, Norwich, was charged with the offences last night, and was remanded in custody.

She appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court this morning, Norfolk Police said.

The charges, relating to five victims under the age of 13 between 2004 and 2010, include five counts of child cruelty, four counts of rape, seven counts of causing a children under 13 to engage in sexual activity, and counts of sexual assault.

Black has been released on conditional bail and will appear before Norwich Crown Court on June 27.

Eight men and women were charged in connection with the case in February. They are all on conditional bail to appear at Norwich Crown Court at a future date, police said.

They are Michael Rogers, 53, of Defoe Way, Romford, Jason Adams, 43, of Catton Court, St Faiths Road, Norwich, Carol Stadler, 59, of Atkinson Road, Norwich, Anthony Stadler, 63, of Church Close, Norwich, Nicola Collins, 36, of Lucas Court, Norwich, Andrew Collins, 52, of Lucas Court, Norwich, Judith Fuller, 31, of Gertrude Road, Norwich, and Denise Barnes, 43, of Wycliffe Road, Norwich.
