Huge cocaine haul hidden in bananas found by German police

German police have found 265lb (120kg) of cocaine hidden among crates of bananas in a container shipped from Ecuador – their second big seizure of the drug from South America this year.

The Federal Criminal Police Office said the cocaine was stuffed into travel bags hidden among the boxes of fruit. The haul was found on April 14 when officials checked more than 20 containers that arrived in the North Sea port of Bremerhaven.
