10 killed in US school bus pile-up
Ten people have been killed in a fiery crash involving a school bus in northern California.
Five teenagers and three adult chaperones were killed along with the drivers of a delivery truck and a charter bus carrying the high school students on a college visit, the California Highway Patrol said.
Officers said the bus and truck were on opposite sides of Interstate 5 near Orland, north of Sacramento, when the truck crossed a grass central reservation and slammed into the bus, causing an explosion and fire.
Investigators say the truck driver might have been trying to avoid a car that was also involved in the crash.
