Former Israeli PM convicted of bribery

Former Israeli prime minister Ehud Olmert has been convicted in a bribery trial, according to media reports.

They said Tel Aviv District court handed down the verdict against Olmert and several others today over a wide-ranging Jerusalem property scandal case related to his activities before becoming premier in 2006.
