Police in England have released CCTV of a shop assistant trying to grab a sawn-off shotgun from an armed robber, just moments before his boss is shot.

The 51-year-old shop owner was shot in the chest at close range after chasing the gunman and his accomplice down Plaistow High Street, East London.
