MEPs reject Snowden asylum call

MEPs have voted against calling on EU member states to grant asylum to the NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden.

They have passed a series of measures calling for greater civil liberties across the EU, but voted against explicitly including the American whistleblower in that list.
