'103 dead' in Algeria plane crash

More than 100 people died when a military plane crashed in the east of Algeria, according to an intelligence service officer.

He ascribed Tuesday’s crash to poor weather conditions and said all 103 people aboard, including the crew, were killed.

State radio had said 99 people died in the crash in Oum El Bouaghi, 220 miles east of Algiers.

Witnesses say the plane clipped a mountain before crashing.
