14 dead after volcanic eruption in Indonesia

At least 14 people have been killed after an Indonesian volcano that had been active for months erupted.

The eruption of Mount Sinabung, in north Sumatra, came just a day after authorities allowed thousands of villagers who had been evacuated to return to its slopes, saying that activity was decreasing.
