Report: Hollande to formally bid 'au revoir' to first lady

There are reports the French President Francois Hollande may announce his separation from his partner later today.

French media say he will announce a formal separation this afternoon from Valerie Trierweiler.

It follows allegations from a magazine that he had an affair with French actress, Julie Gayet.
