Antarctic rescue mission under way

The long-awaited rescue of 52 passengers on board a research ship trapped in Antarctic ice since Christmas Eve has started.

A helicopter from a Chinese icebreaker is evacuating those on board after successfully managing to land next to the Russian vessel.
