Bus plunges 32ft on to van killing 17 in Philippines

At least 17 people were killed and 16 others injured when a passenger bus plunged off a wet, elevated highway in suburban Manila and fell on to a van passing below, officials in the Philippines said today.

The reports from police, hospital and mortuary staff revised higher tolls.
