Mortar shell hits Vatican embassy in Syria

Eyewitnesses say a mortar shell has slammed into a building in Syria’s capital Damascus that houses the Vatican’s embassy.

It was not clear if the diplomatic mission was specifically targeted in the early morning attack, which damaged the roof.
