The judge in the trial of Egypt’s deposed Islamist president and 14 others adjourned the hearing soon after it started today because the defendants’ chants were disrupting the proceedings, according to state TV.

The adjournment – likely to last until later today – came after a two-hour delay in the start of the proceedings.
