Baby abandoned in carrier bag is 'alert and happy', police say

A newborn baby found abandoned in a carrier bag in a park has been described as “alert, happy and contented” as she continues to recover in hospital.

West Midlands Police have today released a picture of the baby girl in an effort to trace her mother.
