Libyan court sends Gaddafi's son to trial

Muammar Gaddafi’s son and more than 30 others, including his prime minister and intelligence chief, have been sent for trial before a higher court on charges ranging from murder and treason to looting during Libya’s 2011 uprising.
Prosecutor Al-Seddik al-Sur said after a hearing today that the lower court also decided to appoint defence lawyers for Gaddafi’s son, Saif al-Islam, and the late dictator’s intelligence chief, Abdullah al-Senoussi.
